1. What Inspired you to become a board member with The CIRI Foundation?

I was a recipient of a TCF award that set me on the path to my current career in biological sciences. I am happy to be able to pay forward the help and encouragement that I received from TCF to a new generation.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment?

Coming full circle. I started my education at UA Kodiak with an AA degree. Now I have Ph.D. and am the Director of the Biological Sciences Department at UA Anchorage.

3. What advice do you have for TCF Recipients?

Having a job or career that you enjoy is worth the challenge and effort that you put into your education. Apply to TCF and go for it![/person]
