What Documents Will I Need?

IMPORTANT: It is the applicant’s explicit responsibility to ensure that all application(s) and material(s) submitted are received by The CIRI Foundation in a timely fashion. The CIRI Foundation is not responsible for requesting or sharing additional documentation on behalf of any applicant except as outlined in the application certification agreement.

Late applications are not considered.

Documents for TCF Scholarships and Vocational Training Grants:

The CIRI Foundation will need the following documents to process your scholarship or vocational training grant application. Please note that these documents must be uploaded to your student profile.

  • If a direct lineal descendant- Proof of relationship to an original shareholder of CIRI (this includes legal documentation, often birth and marriage certificates and/or adoption records);
  • Unofficial transcripts for your most current coursework;
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.;
  • Acceptance letter from school indicating the certificate or degree program and major, or proof of enrollment from the school or organization for vocational training applicants;
  • Updated course schedule;
  • Statement of purpose for first-time applicants or applicants who are changing their major.

Please note, CIRI shareholder status does not determine eligibility, nor is it required for TCF's Scholarships, Vocational Training Grants, or Fellowships. 

Village Scholarship and Grant Programs Administered by TCF through the TCF online application (NNAI and SNAI):

In addition to the documents listed above, a written statement from your village organization confirming eligibility or enrollment card must be submitted.

Eligibility for RAVEN Fund Scholarships and Grants- Paper Application!

  • Proof that you are a voting (Alaska Native) CIRI shareholder who is NOT an original enrollee or the direct lineal descendant of an original enrollee.
  • Official grade transcripts for your most current coursework;
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.;
  • Acceptance letter from school indicating the certificate or degree program and major, or proof of enrollment from the school or organization for vocational training applicants;
  • Updated course schedule;
  • Statement of purpose;
  • Letter of reference.

Documents for TCF Fellowships:

The CIRI Foundation will need the following documents to process your fellowship application. Please note that these documents must be uploaded to your student profile.

  • If a direct lineal descendant- Proof of relationship to an original shareholder of CIRI (this includes legal documentation, often birth and marriage certificates and/or adoption records);
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D., or transcripts for your most current coursework;
  • Acceptance letter or proof of enrollment from the school or organization for fellowship program;
  • Statement of purpose (explaining the cultural or employment benefits of the fellowship);

Please note, CIRI shareholder status does not determine eligibility, nor is it required for TCF's Scholarships, Vocational Training Grants, or Fellowships. 

 

Eligibility for Eklutna, Inc. Scholarships and Grants- Paper Application!

Please note, this is a scholarship program administered by The CIRI Foundation on behalf of Eklutna, Inc. and the documents needed may differ from the supplemental materials needed for TCF Scholarships.

All documents below must be submitted specifically for an applicant's Eklutna, Inc. application via mail, fax, or email. Please contact TCF if you wish to arrange sharing any documents between applications. Documents are not automatically shared between applications.

  • If a direct lineal descendant- Proof of relationship to an original enrollee of Eklutna, Inc. (this includes legal documentation, often birth and marriage certificates and/or adoption records);
  • Official grade transcripts for your most current coursework;
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.;
  • Acceptance letter from school indicating the certificate or degree program and major, or proof of enrollment from the school or organization for vocational training applicants;
  • Updated course schedule;
  • Statement of purpose;
  • Letter of reference.
