Raven Fund Scholarships

The CIRI Foundation offers limited funding to CIRI voting shareholders who are not original shareholders or their lineal descendants through the Raven Fund program.

If you are a CIRI original shareholder or a lineal descendant, please do not apply for the Raven Fund – apply for TCF’s Scholarship Program.

Raven Fund Application

The Raven Fund offers general and career technical education scholarships to qualified applicants. Raven Fund eligible applicants must request a TCF online account to apply. Click here to request your Raven Fund account.

Raven Fund Jump Start paper applications are available by request. Applications must be complete and received before the deadline to be considered. 

RAVEN FUND GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP – Academic Year or per term (Fall, Winter and/or Spring, Summer)

Deadlines: June 30, December 31

AWARD AMOUNT: $6,000 per Academic Year for full-time students. $200 per credit up to $3,000 for part-time and summer students.

Requirements:

  • CIRI voting shareholders who are not original shareholders or lineal descendants
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Enrolled in one of the following degree programs: Associate, Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate; Post-Baccalaureate program of study; or pre-requisite courses before entering into a degree program
  • Must be attending an accredited institution
  • A 2.0 g term grade point average or higher

Award Details:

  • Full-time students: eligible to receive $6,000 for the Academic Year or one award up to $3,000 per term
  • Part-time and summer students: eligible to receive $200 per credit up to $3,000
  • If you receive an Academic Year award, you do not need to reapply at the Mid-Year December 31 deadline

Award Terms:

  • Upon receiving an award, students must maintain all funding requirements to remain in good standing with TCF and remain eligible for future funding
  • Failure to maintain funding requirements may result in loss of funding
  • Fund uses direct educational expenses, including tuition, student registration fees, course-required books/supplies, and on-campus house and meal plans. Personal expenses for $500 per term can be awarded only if all other costs have been covered
  • Applicants will be evaluated based on the information submitted with their application
  • Awards are subject to available funding

RAVEN FUND CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Deadline: Open

Amount: Up to $6,000 per calendar year

Requirements:

  • CIRI voting shareholders who are not original shareholders or lineal descendants
  • Enrolled in a technical skill training program at an accredited or recognized institution and earning a certificate/ certification or a professional license
  • Must be attending an accredited/recognized institution
  • A 2.0 term grade point average or higher

Award Details:

  • Eligible to receive up to $6,000 per calendar year
  • Can be funded at multiple deadlines if previous coursework has been completed and as long as the grant cap of $6,000 is not exceeded

Award Terms:

  • Upon receiving an award, students must maintain all funding requirements to remain in good standing with TCF and remain eligible for future funding
  • Failure to maintain funding requirements may result loss of funding
  • Fund Uses: Direct Educational expenses, including tuition, student registration fees, course-required books/supplies, and on-campus house and meal plans. Personal expenses for $500 per calendar year can be awarded only if all other costs have been covered.
  • Awards are subject to available funding.
  • Applicants will be evaluated based on the information submitted with their application.

RAVEN FUND JUMP START AWARDS (High School Students)

Deadline: Open (Download Paper Application)

Per Term Amount: Up to $2,000 per calendar year

Requirements:

  • CIRI voting shareholders who are not original shareholders or lineal descendants
  • Enrolled in a recognized or accredited college, training program, or other authorized post-secondary education course of study while concurrently enrolled in high school or an equivalent program
  • Must have a term 2.0 grade point average or higher

Award Details:

  • Eligible to receive up to $2,000 per calendar year
  • Can be funded at multiple deadlines if previous coursework has been completed and as long as the grant cap of $2,000 is not exceeded

Award Terms:

  • Upon receiving an award, students must maintain all funding requirements to remain in good standing with TCF and remain eligible for future funding
  • Failure to maintain funding requirements may result in a potential loss of funding
  • Fund uses direct educational expenses, including tuition, student registration fees, course-required books/supplies, and on-campus house and meal plans. Personal expenses for $500 per term can be awarded only if all other costs have been covered
  • Applicants will be evaluated based on the information submitted with their application
  • Awards are subject to available funding
